Investigation Still Ongoing

The Airport investigation into the incident regarding the injury of a student volunteer for the Airport’s Triennual Exercise held on June 1, 2011 is still ongoing.

“Our objective is to conduct this investigation in an expeditious but efficient manner and complete the process within the next several days. We are currently interviewing witnesses with pertinent facts about the incident to produce a report that is accurate and complete,” stated Mary Torres, Executive Manager. ”We are being as thorough as possible, obtaining statements from as many witnesses that come forward from the over 100 participants in the disaster drill,” added Torres.

Once the report is final, details of the report may be released, within the protocols of personnel privacy rules and the release of information relative to the ongoing criminal investigation being conducted by GPD.
